The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) provides a variety of training and exercise resources available and applicable to the following:

  • Emergency Managers
  • Federal, State, and Local Governmental Representatives
  • Non-governmental Organizations

The American Red Cross offers safety training at various locations throughout the greater Los Angeles area such as first aid and CPR for adults, children and infants.

Study.com offers an online Guide to Scholarships for First Responders & Their Family Members lists a number of national as well as regional resources.

Community Emergency Response Training (CERT) is community-based emergency and disaster training offered by the Los Angeles Fire Department. It is an all-risk, all-hazard training. This valuable course is designed to help you protect yourself, your family, your neighbors and your neighborhood in an emergency situation.
